Newer ruff (released after .pre-commit-config.yaml was last bumped) adds
new rule families (e.g. UP045 non-pep604 unions, EXE001 shebang checks)
that fail on this codebase which was last ruff-clean against 0.11.0.
Pin the version to match pre-commit so the lint job is reproducible.

Activity Book App

An offline-first children's activity book app for Android tablets, targeting ages 5-8 (Explorer bracket). Inspired by Neal Stephenson's The Diamond Age Primer.
