What

Replaces the existing .forgejo/workflows/ci.yml with a self-contained shell/container workflow that does not depend on GitHub-hosted JS actions (which fail at "Set up job" because actions/checkout@v4 and actions/setup-python@v5 cannot be downloaded from this Forgejo runner).

Recipe provenance: t_b55e19fa (proven on AuWoMe/Drift), accepted per t_a8bf9ee3 fan-out. Inventory of working container images / action mirrors: t_8ef56cda, t_f96c565c.

Why

Pre-rewrite runs on this repo are all status=failure or cancelled at "Set up job" — the JS checkout step times out downloading from github.com because the runner has no network access there. The rewrite:

  • Pins the runner container to docker.io/library/python:3.12-slim (Python 3.12 + pip pre-installed, git installed via apt)
  • Replaces actions/checkout@v4 with apt-get install -y git + git clone --depth 1 from the local Forgejo mirror
  • Drops actions/setup-python@v5 (the python:3.12-slim container already has Python + pip)
  • Preserves the original lint steps: pip install -r requirements.txt, pip install ruff, ruff check .

Verification

Once merged, a fresh push to main should run cleanly: container pulls, git clone, pip install, ruff check. No uses: lines remain; YAML is valid.
