Repository Mark/vending was scanned by the org-wide pre-commit hook audit (kanban t_5c4b41a5) and classified as bare/config-only — no Python, Node, or other source files were detected that would benefit from auto-installed pre-commit hooks.

If this repo has since grown source files, or if you want a universal .githooks/pre-commit guard anyway (merge conflict markers, large files, trailing whitespace), please add it manually or close this issue.

Resolution landed on origin/main:

  • a11c970: .githooks/pre-commit (universal guard: merge-conflict markers, trailing whitespace, files > 5 MB) + .githooks/README.md (per-clone enable instructions).
  • bb86b5a: .gitignore for GSD infra and .venv.
  • 16947db: .kilo/plans/Mark-vending-1-pre-commit-hooks.md (verification checklist).

One-time, per-clone wiring (documented in README, copy-paste-ready):

git config core.hooksPath .githooks

Verification on this clone:

  • git config --get core.hooksPath → .githooks
  • test -x .githooks/pre-commit && bash -n .githooks/pre-commit → OK
  • Commit with staged <<<<<<< markers → blocked by guard (smoke-tested).

Closing this issue: evaluation concluded YES (universal guard warranted even though repo is bare/config-only), guard shipped + verified, enablement is per-clone by design (matches the issue's add it manually phrasing). For repos where the audit decided auto-wiring was the right call, see Mark/awm-v1-0-4#1 / Mark/void_rush#3 as the wired-on-clone precedent.
