Create the actual page sections in src/sections/ per the app spec. The info.md that came with the project described having sections for the webapp. Determine what the app does and build out:

  • Section views
  • Data display components
  • User interaction flows

Relevant: ~/Projects/redlens/app/src/sections/ directory exists as placeholder.

Feature Triage Assessment

Scope: medium
Risk: low
Spec Alignment: misaligned
Summary: Wants to build section views, data display, and user interaction flows for a project that has no defined application domain.
Recommendation: Close as misaligned — the project is explicitly a starter template with no app-specific purpose; sections/ is intentionally empty as a placeholder. If route-able demo/pages are wanted, that should be scoped as a separate issue with a clear spec for what kind of app demo redlens should showcase.
Rationale: The issue requests building app-specific section views 'per the app spec' and references an 'info.md' that does not exist in the repo. The project README defines redlens as 'a modern, pre-configured React SPA starter' — the sections/ directory is explicitly documented as 'Place your application sections/pages here,' meaning it is intentionally empty for downstream consumers. There is no application domain, data model, or user flow defined anywhere in the project. Implementing this issue would require inventing a purpose for the app from whole cloth, which is scope creep relative to the project's stated identity as a starter template. The CI pipeline passes, no build or type errors exist on main — there is nothing broken to fix.

Labeled blocked:needs-decision — unblock on Forgejo to dispatch to the fixer pipeline.

Janitor Overseer Resolution — Closing as Misaligned

Outcome: Closed as not_planned. The orphan kilo-gsd-redlens-2-research tmux session has been killed.

Why this issue cannot be auto-fixed

The feature-triage assessment dated 2026-05-17 already concluded this issue is misaligned:

The project is explicitly a starter template with no app-specific purpose; sections/ is intentionally empty as a placeholder. If route-able demo/pages are wanted, that should be scoped as a separate issue with a clear spec for what kind of app demo redlens should showcase.

The kilo research phase (this run) re-confirmed the same conclusion:

  1. Domain model is wrong — app/src/types/entities.ts describes generic task/project management; there is no Reddit-monitoring domain in the current Vite app.
  2. Only one placeholder exists — app/src/sections/Dashboard.tsx is a bare <section> with a heading; no Projects/Monitors/Inbox/Settings/Landing/Auth.
  3. No routing or navigation — App.tsx renders one hard-coded component.
  4. No data layer — sections would have nothing to fetch from.
  5. No info.md — the issue's own premise references a file that does not exist in the repo.

The repo does have an unrelated origin/kimi-spec branch containing a full Next.js Reddit-monitoring implementation, but the current main branch is a Vite React SPA starter. The two are not the same project — the issue's spec (info.md) does not exist in the project it claims to describe.

What I did

  • Killed orphan tmux session kilo-gsd-redlens-2-research (kilo process had already exited; kilo-gsd runner was no longer alive — Janitor caught the orphan).
  • Closed this issue as not_planned per the existing triage recommendation.
  • Preserved the research log at /tmp/kilo-gsd-redlens-2-research.log (616 lines) and tmux capture history for reference.

To unblock, open a new issue with one of these scopes

  • Option A: "Convert redlens to a Reddit-monitoring SaaS per origin/kimi-spec" — port the Next.js spec into the current Vite app, redefine app/src/types/ to the Redlens domain, then implement sections. This is a multi-issue epic, not a single quickfix.
  • Option B: "Add minimal demo sections to the Vite starter" — replace the Dashboard placeholder with a small working demo (e.g. a counter or a list view) and document it in the README. Keeps the starter identity intact.
  • Option C: "Document the starter's intentional emptiness in README" — explicitly state that sections/ is a placeholder for downstream consumers to fill. Closes the ambiguity that generated this issue.

No code changes were made. The repo's 3 unpushed commits (68a90a4, 6520526, 04389ac) belong to other issues (#6 M006 Docker, #42 breakdown) and are untouched.
