Overview

The audit logging backend is fully implemented and functional, tracking all changes to entities. However, there is no frontend UI to view these logs, which limits the ability to troubleshoot and meet compliance requirements.

Current State

  • ✅ Backend: Complete audit logging system
  • ✅ Database: audit_logs table populated
  • ❌ Frontend: No UI for viewing audit logs
  • ❌ API: No endpoint for querying/filtering audit logs

Required Implementation

1. Audit Log API

Create endpoints for retrieving audit logs:

  • GET /api/v1/audit-logs - List all audit logs
    • Filter by: entity_type, entity_id, user_id, date_range
    • Pagination support
  • GET /api/v1/audit-logs/{entity_type}/{entity_id} - Get logs for specific entity

2. Audit Log Viewer Page (Admin Only)

  • Full audit log listing with filters
  • Search functionality
  • Date range picker
  • Export to CSV/JSON
  • Real-time activity feed (optional)

3. Activity Timeline on Entity Pages

  • Customer activity history
  • Ticket change log
  • Invoice audit trail

4. Export Functionality

  • CSV export
  • JSON export
  • Date range selection for exports

Acceptance Criteria

  • Audit log API with filtering and pagination
  • Audit log viewer page (admin only)
  • Activity timeline on customer detail pages
  • Activity timeline on ticket detail pages
  • Activity timeline on invoice detail pages
  • Export functionality (CSV, JSON)
  • Comprehensive tests
