The joint tool in src/pages/editor/LeftToolbar.tsx exists but has no functionality to snap/connect parts together. No logic exists for attaching sliced pieces to other models.

Current State

  • Joint tool button with shortcut J exists in toolbar
  • Joint type defined in src/pages/editor/types.ts with parentBoneId/meshId references
  • Default joints exist but no interactive joint placement
  • No snapping logic when dragging parts near compatible attachment points

Required Implementation

  • Implement joint placement interaction in viewport
  • Create snapping detection between compatible attachment points
  • Store parent-child relationships when parts connect
  • Visualize connections with lines/ghost previews during drag

Acceptance Criteria

  • Joint tool allows placing joints on model surfaces
  • Compatible attachment points snap together
  • Attached parts maintain relative positions
  • Attachment relationships stored in state
