This repository does not have a pre-commit hooks configuration (.pre-commit-config.yaml).

Consider adding one to enforce basic code quality checks (trailing whitespace, EOF fixer, merge conflict markers, large files). See repos like vikunja-cli or cli_debug for reference implementations.

Suggested approach:

Add a .pre-commit-config.yaml with basic hooks from pre-commit/pre-commit-hooks
Optionally add language-specific hooks (ruff for Python, eslint for JS/TS, shellcheck for shell, etc.)
Run pre-commit install to activate
