Description

Add authentication, authorization, and user management to the application.

Current State

  • No login/authentication
  • All users are hardcoded in mockData.ts
  • No role-based access control

Required Changes

  1. Authentication

    • Login/logout functionality
    • JWT token management
    • Session handling
    • Password reset flow

  2. Authorization

    • Role-based access (admin, operator, viewer)
    • Permission checks on API calls
    • UI element visibility based on role

  3. User Management

    • Create/edit/delete users
    • API key management
    • Audit logging

Files Affected

  • src/pages/Settings.tsx (add user management UI)
  • src/store/index.ts (auth state)
  • src/lib/api.ts (auth endpoints)
  • New: src/store/auth.ts

  • Users can log in
  • Permissions are enforced
  • API keys work for programmatic access
