Severity: Low (UX/Misleading)

File: src/components/wizard/PreferencesStep.tsx lines 53-79

Issue: The "Test Commands" button in the Preferences step simulates running verification commands entirely on the client side. The "test" function:

  1. Sets all commands to "running" status
  2. After a 1-second timeout, marks any command containing the word "test" as "error" and all others as "success"

This is purely cosmetic — no actual commands are executed. This misleads users into thinking their verification commands are actually being validated.

Note: Running arbitrary shell commands from a browser is not practical without a backend service. The recommendation is either:

  1. Remove the test button to avoid misleading users
  2. Add a disclaimer that this is simulated
  3. Keep as a placeholder for future backend integration
